Overview
Midlands Precision Components operates a high-throughput facility producing drivetrain components for Tier 1 automotive suppliers. With rising energy demands and plans to electrify key processes, the client required a robust, scalable grid connection to support future growth and sustainability goals.
TriEnergi Power Solutions was appointed to deliver a contestable HV grid connection under ICP accreditation, ensuring speed, cost-efficiency and full compliance with ENA G99/G100 standards.
Scope of Works
Grid Connection Design
- 1MVA HV supply via 11kV connection
- ENA G99 compliance study and PGMD documentation
- Fault-level and harmonic analysis using DigSILENT PowerFactory
Civil & Electrical Works
- HV cable trenching (1.2 km) with traffic management
- Installation of RMU, transformer (1MVA), and metering
- Earthing system and surge protection
DNO Liaison & Approvals
- Coordination with Western Power Distribution
- Achieved connection offer acceptance in 4 weeks
- Grid code compliance verified pre-commissioning
